Exercise Description:
Jumping and twisting 90 degrees to the left and then back to the starting position, twisting jump, is a dynamic and explosive exercise that targets the muscles in your legs, core, and upper body. To perform this exercise, start by standing with your feet together and your arms at your sides but bent 90 degrees, like holding onto poles. Engage your core muscles and bend your knees slightly to prepare for the movement. From this starting position, explosively jump into the air and twist your upper body 90 degrees to the left. Land using your toes to absorb the impact then quickly jump, twisting back to the starting position and repeat the movement on the opposite side to complete one repetition.
In addition to strengthening your leg, core, and upper body muscles, jumping and twisting 90 degrees to the left and then back to the starting position can also help to improve your coordination, balance, and overall athletic performance. It can also provide a cardiovascular workout and help to increase your heart rate and burn calories. Because it involves explosive and dynamic movements, it can also be a great exercise for improving power and speed.
