Exercise Description:
Stretching is an important part of physical and mental health. It is a easy way to keep your flexibility as you age and maintain a steady state of recovery as muscles grows. Performing the stretch is a good way to "hit" all of your upper body muscles with one movement.
This movement can also be used as a preventative measure regarding some common injuries that can occur. While it is not a resistance exercise, it is an important movement to keep your body "young". This is a movement that we recommend you add to your arsenal of exercises/movements that you perform at least once a week.
It is also part of our stretch routine; found on our routines page, which we recommend you also perform at least once a week or at the very minimum once a month.
While this workout should be performed for all sports we have listed a couple that can greatly benefit from this stretch. If you want to continue participating in physically demanding sports, activities, or just staying young, this is a stretch for you.
Remember, the "life goal" is to be able to lift just as heavy now as when you are 85, 95, or 110 years old.
