Exercise Description:
The seated spine stretch is a stretching exercise that targets the muscles of the back and spine. It is typically performed while seated on the ground or on a mat with your legs crossed. To perform the exercise, you will need to sit up tall with your shoulders relaxed and your back straight. From there, you will need to reach your arms up overhead and then lean to one side, reaching your opposite arm down toward the ground. Be sure to keep your back straight and avoid rounding your shoulders or hunching your back during the stretch. It's also important to breathe deeply and relax your muscles as you stretch. You can hold the stretch for 30 seconds to 1 minute on each side, or for as long as is comfortable.
