Exercise Description:
The wall calf stretch is a simple stretching exercise that targets the muscles in the calf. To perform the stretch, stand facing a wall with your hands on the wall at shoulder height. Place one foot behind the other, with the front toes up on the wall while the heel is on the floor.
Keeping your heel on the ground, lean into the wall, pressing your hands into the wall and feeling the stretch in your calf muscle, the front leg. Hold this position for 30 seconds, then switch legs and repeat. It's important to keep your heel on the ground and your knee straight during the stretch to get the full benefit.
